A. Tenses

1. Simple Present Tense
Example : I drink coffee
2. Present Progressive Tense
Example : The plane are arriving an hour
3. Present Future Tense
Example : She will finish her homework tomorrow
4. Present Perfect Tense
Example : I have read the book
5. Past Tense
Example : He bought a book yesterday
6. Past Future Tense
Example : He was going to visit his grandmother
7. Past Perfect Tense
Example : My father had already read the book
8. Past Progressive Tense
Example : Lisa was reading the book at this time last night

B. Active - Passive

     1. Present Tense
Active : My father cleans his car once a week
Passive : The car is cleaned by my father once a week
     2. Past Tense
Active : My father cleaned the car yesterday
Passive : The car was cleaned by my father
     3. Present Progressive Tense
Active : He is not reading the book now
Passive : The book is not being read by him now
4. Present Perfect Tense
Active : Many tourists have visited the museum
Passive : The museum has been visited by many tourists
5. Present Future Tense
Active : I will read the book tonight
Passive : The book will read by me tonight
6. Past Perfect Tense
Active : My father had cleaned the car
Passive : The car had been cleaned by my father
7. Past Progressive Tense
Active : The police was asking the nurse when the thief came to hospital
Passive : The nurse was being asked by Police when the thief came to hospital
8. Past Future Tense
Active : I thought Lisa was going to buy a new book
Passive : I thought a new book was going to be buy by Lisa


C. Comparison Degree

    1. Positive Degree
Example : My book is as expensive as yours (adjective)
She drives as carefully as my father in the residential area (adverb)
2. Comparative Degree
Example : My house is bigger than his house (adjective)
I ran faster than you did (adverb)
3. Superlative Degree
Example : He is the funniest student in this class (adjective)
I run the fastest in my city (adverb)

D. Direct - Indirect Sentence

    1. Statement (Pertanyaan)
Example :
Direct : She said, “we will go to London tomorrow”
Indirect : She said that they will go to London the next day
2. Imperative (Perintah)
Example :
Direct : She told me, “wait for me !”
Indirect : She told me to wait for her
3. Question (Pertanyaan)
Example :
Direct : Lisa asked me, “what’s happening to you? You look so tired”
Indirect : Lisa asked me what was happening to me as I looked so tired


E. If Clause
1. Type 1
Example :
- If the weather is good, we will go to the beach tomorrow
- If the ticket is cheap, I will travel to Bali with my family
2. Type 2
Example :
- If it rained tomorrow, I would not go out
- If you passed the test, your dad would be happy
3. Type 3
Example :
- If you had remembered to invite me, I would have attended your party
- If the waitress had been careful, she wouldn’t have broke many plates
